School Children and Teachers Kidnapped in Ekiti

What Happened?

On Monday evening, a terrible thing happened in Emure Ekiti, Ekiti State. Six schoolchildren, three teachers, and a bus driver were kidnapped while they were on their way home in a school bus. At the same time, some bad guys attacked a vehicle carrying three traditional rulers in Ajoni Local Government Area.

What We Know

The kidnappers ambushed the school bus around 5 p.m. and took the children and teachers. So far, the police haven’t given us any updates, but the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, promised that they will do everything they can to rescue the victims safely. He asked everyone to stay calm and help the authorities with any information they might have.

What the Governor Said

Governor Oyebanji called the kidnapping of the children and teachers a cruel and unacceptable act. He assured everyone that the security agencies in the state were already searching for the kidnappers and their victims. The governor also mentioned that they are increasing security measures to catch the criminals and keep everyone safe.
