Gunmen Attack Students at Federal University of Lafia

Oh no! Something terrible happened at the Federal University of Lafia. Some bad guys, who are probably kidnappers, went to the students’ lodge at Gandu and kidnapped 17 students. It happened on Wednesday at 11pm. Only two students managed to escape when the kidnappers came.

Protest by Students

The university students strongly resent what occurred. They are protesting in the streets of Lafia, Nasarawa State. They want the university management and the security agencies to do something about the kidnappings and robberies that keep happening. They grow weary of experiencing insecurity within their own university.

Students Demand Release and Increased Security

The students are carrying signs with different messages. They demand an immediate release of their kidnapped friends. They also want the university to improve security so that they can feel safe again. They grow weary of the continuous occurrence of negative events in their university.

University Spokesperson Confirms Incident

The university’s spokesperson, Abubakar Ibrahim, confirmed that the kidnapping happened. However, they still haven’t determined the exact number of abducted students. The spokesperson mentioned that the kidnapped students reside not on campus but in nearby houses. They speculate that perhaps three to five students were taken.

Police Investigating the Kidnapping

The police in Nasarawa state are also looking into the kidnapping. The Public Relations Officer, DSP Ranham Nansel, said that they are still trying to figure out how many students were kidnapped and who they are. They are working hard to solve this case and bring the students back safely.
