Court Decision in Mohbad Case
Guess what? Naira Marley and Sam Larry, the famous singer and socialite, have been granted bail by a Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State. They were among the people who were accused of being involved in the case of singer Mohbad.
Bail Amount and Sureties
The court decided that Naira Marley and Sam Larry could be released if they paid a bail amount of N20 million. Wow, that’s a lot of money! But that’s not all, they also had to find three responsible people who would guarantee that they would follow the rules.
Background
Let me give you some background information. Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others were taken to court on October 6 because of what happened to singer Mohbad. They were involved in some way, but we don’t know all the details yet.
Bail Conditions
The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, made some rules that Naira Marley and Sam Larry had to follow. First, they had to give up their passports. That means they can’t leave the country. Magistrate Olatunbosun repeated the bail conditions and made sure Naira Marley and Sam Larry understood them. She wanted them to give up their passports and go to SCID every week. She even warned them not to try to contact her about the case. If they did, it would be a big problem and everyone would know about it in court.
