What to Expect from Dangote Refinery
The Dangote refinery in Nigeria is about to start operating, and this is great news for Nigerians. The refinery is planning to supply diesel and aviation fuel to the Nigerian market, which means there might be some changes in fuel prices soon.
Price Reduction
The President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association, Billy Gillis-Harry, believes that the Dangote refinery will bring down the price of fuel. He thinks it would be surprising if the domestic refineries don’t have an impact on fuel prices. So, Nigerians can expect to pay less for fuel in the future.
Benefits for Nigerians
Gillis-Harry explains that when you import petrol products, there are additional costs involved. But with the Dangote refinery producing fuel within the country, these costs can be reduced. He believes that Nigerians should benefit from this and pay less for fuel. However, he cannot determine the exact amount of the price reduction at this time.
