Mr. Ibu: Another Leg Surgery
Mr. Ibu’s Health Situation
Comic actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, is facing more health challenges. Just a month ago, he had one of his legs amputated. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened to the point where he can hardly talk. Recently, he underwent another surgery to remove a part of the same leg that was amputated before.
Concerns for Amaechi Muonagor
Another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, is also facing serious health issues. He has been hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikiwe.. University Teaching Hospital in Anambra State for over two months. The Actors Guild of Nigeria’s National President, Dr. Emeka Rollas, provided an update on both actors’ health.
Mr. Ibu’s Condition
Dr. Rollas revealed that Mr. Ibu’s health has been deteriorating. He hardly talks anymore and has had to undergo another leg amputation. The situation is quite concerning.
Amaechi Muonagor’s State
Dr. Rollas visited Amaechi Muonagor at the hospital and described his condition as pitiable. His legs are completely paralyzed, and he is a mere shadow of his former self. Dr. Rollas called on fans and well-wishers to support Amaechi during this difficult time.
Supporting Amaechi Muonagor
Dr. Rollas has approved a sum of N250,000 to be sent to Amaechi Muonagor’s account from the Actors Guild of Nigeria Trust Fund. However, this may not be enough considering his medical expenses with the Guild HMO and Insurance policy. Dr. Rollas encouraged young actors to sign up for the AGN HMO and Insurance programs.
Amaechi Muonagor’s Health Challenges
Amaechi Muonagor is currently battling kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke. He had been managing his diabetes for years, but his health took a turn for the worse. He is now undergoing weekly dialysis and other treatments at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital.
