The Legal Battle Over the Soun of Ogbomosoland

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State is not happy about some legal cases that are going on about who should be the Soun of Ogbomosoland. The Soun is like a king or ruler in that area.

The Judge’s Order

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. The judge in the case, Justice Kareem Adeyimika Adedokun, said that everyone involved in the case has to wait until the appeal is heard before anything else happens. This is called maintaining the “status quo ante.” It means that things have to stay the same until a decision is made.

The Governor’s Speech

So, Governor Makinde gave a speech at a special event where he gave Oba Ghadi Olaoye the Instrument of Office and Staff of Office. He made it official that Oba Ghadi is the son of Ogbomosoland. But here’s the thing – Governor Makinde wants all the court cases to be dropped. He said that everyone should stop fighting and move on.

He even gave a deadline – before the end of next week, he wants all the cases to be withdrawn. And he said that if they’re not, he will use his power as Governor to fight back.
