In Ondo Aiyedatiwa Takes Charge

Aides Quit Amidst Speculations and Fears

Akure, Ondo State — Something big is happening in Ondo State! The political world is filled with uncertainty and tension as former political aides to the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu quickly handed in their resignation letters, claiming loyalty to their late boss. This happened right after Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa became the seventh civilian governor of the state.

Loyalty or Fear of Changes?

Although the aides publicly stated that they resigned because they were fiercely loyal to the late Governor Akeredolu, investigations by Vanguard revealed a different story. A reliable source revealed that they resigned primarily due to their apprehension about the new governor replacing them.

According to the source, those who resigned were just being smart. They knew the roles they played during the crisis and were afraid of what might happen next. They knew that the new governor would soon make changes to his team, so they decided to quit. They were just feeling nervous.

Planned Resignations?

The same source claimed that the resignations were not spontaneous but planned. It seems like the aides had already written their resignation letters before Governor Akeredolu’s passing. When it happened, they simply signed the letters and added the dates. They are haunted by their past actions, the source added.

Aides Speak Up

However, one of the aides who resigned defended their decision, saying that their loyalty to the late governor was their top priority. They didn’t want to have divided loyalty. Their loyalty was to Akeredolu until the end. They have no apologies for being loyal to Governor Akeredolu because he was their benefactor and will always be, said one of the aides.

Workers Mourn Akeredolu

Sadness filled the atmosphere at the governor’s office as numerous workers abstained, and an opened condolence register captured the somber mood. By noon, over 70 people had signed the register. Civil servants were seen discussing the situation, expressing their feelings, and praising the late Governor Akeredolu.
