Good News for Tinubu: Court Rules in His Favor!

The Court’s Decision

The Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt has made a ruling in favor of President Bola Tinubu. They threw out a lawsuit that questioned the legality of his involvement in the political issues of the state. This is a big win for President Tinubu!

The Lawsuit

Let me give you some background on the case. The lawsuit was filed by 10 representatives of the people of Rivers State. They were led by His Highness, Anabs Sara-Igbe. They sued President Tinubu, the Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers State House of Assembly, its Speaker Martin Amaewhule, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

What Were They Questioning?

The plaintiffs wanted the court to interpret the peace accord and see if it went against the Constitution. They also wanted to know if President Tinubu had the right to tell the governor to present the budget to certain members of the House of Assembly. They even questioned if it was right for resigned commissioners to be re-submitted for screening.

The Court’s Decision

When the case went to court, the judge, Justice Chinwendu Nworgu, decided that the court didn’t have the power to hear the case. He referred to a previous judgment by James Omotosho of the Abuja High Court, which had nullified the activities of a different faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

So, in simple terms, the court said that they couldn’t decide on this case because it wasn’t within their jurisdiction. This means that President Tinubu’s intervention in the political crises of the state is legal and valid.

What Does This Mean?

This ruling is a big win for President Tinubu. It means that his actions on the political issues of Rivers State are allowed and supported by the law. It’s a victory for him and his supporters!

That’s all for now, folks! Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting news!
