Terror Leader Killed, Kidnap Victims Rescued in Zamfara

Rescue Mission Success

The Nigerian Army announced that troops from the Joint Task Force North West Operation Hadarin Daji successfully rescued 20 kidnap victims and eliminated two terrorists.”The Nigerian Army actively neutralized the notorious terror group leader Sainaje, hailing from Katsina State, in a separate operation conducted in Zamfara State.”

Clearance Operation Details

In a statement signed by Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, the Operation Hadarin Daji Information Officer, it was revealed that the troops carried out a clearance operation in various terrorists’ hideouts in the Zurmi and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas of Zamfara State. The operation targeted areas such as Rukudawa, Dumburum, Tsanu, Birnin Tsaba, Magare, and Shamushalle.

Successful Destruction of Terrorists’ Enclaves

During the operation, the troops successfully destroyed all the discovered terrorists’ enclaves, including the camp of the notorious terrorist kingpin, Sule. The aggressive troops engaged in a heavy confrontation with the terrorists, causing them to flee their camps.

Neutralization of Terrorists and Rescue of Kidnap Victims

The troops managed to neutralize two terrorists, including the terrorist leader Sainaje from Katsina State. This led to the rescue of 18 kidnap victims, consisting of 4 males, 14 females, and children.

Additional Rescues

In a separate incident, Operation HADARIN troops actively rescued two victims abducted by terrorists along the Shinkafi-Isa road in Zamfara State. The captors abandoned the victims during a gun duel with the highly motivated troops, who swiftly responded and ensured their rescue.

Reuniting Families

All the rescued victims have been handed over to the appropriate authorities, who will work to reunite them with their respective families. This is an important step in helping the victims recover from their traumatic experiences.

Commendation for the Troops

Major General Godwin Mutkut, the Commander of the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI and General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army, commended the troops for their unwavering determination and resilience in their mission to restore peace and normalcy in the Northwest region.
