Sack Ganduje Now – A Call to Action from APC Youth

Disregard Sack Call, They’re Not APC Members, Says Another Group

A group of young people from the Coalition of APC Kano Youths is urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remove former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the National Chairman of the party. The Chairman of the Coalition, Sadiq Ali Sango, made this request during a press conference in Kano on Sunday. Sango believes that Ganduje should be relieved of his position because he failed to secure victory for the APC in the last general election in Kano State.

Violation of Zoning Arrangement

Sango also argues that Ganduje’s appointment goes against the zoning arrangement of the party. According to this arrangement, the position of National Chairman should be given to the North Central zone. By appointing Ganduje, the party has disregarded this rule.

Call for Kwankwaso’s Return

Sango further suggests that President Tinubu should bring back Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general election, into the APC. Sango believes that Kwankwaso’s popularity and influence would help the party reclaim Kano State.

A Demand for Change

“We want to call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leader of our party and the father of modern Nigeria, to sack the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his failure to deliver Kano State to the APC in the last governorship election,” says Sango. He accuses Ganduje of being incompetent, corrupt, and divisive, and claims that he has betrayed the trust of APC members and supporters in Kano State.

Kano Youths Celebrate Supreme Court Judgement

Sango demands that Ganduje step down immediately and that Tinubu does not give him any future appointments due to his corrupt records. He also extends an invitation to Senator Kwankwaso to join the APC and become the party leader in Kano State, expressing confidence in his integrity, vision, and courage.

Opposing Voices

In response to these calls for Ganduje’s removal, another group led by Ahmad Tijjani Abubakar urges the public to disregard them. Abubakar states that Sango is not a member of the APC and therefore has no authority to speak on behalf of the party. He defends Ganduje’s leadership, highlighting his role in stabilizing the party and achieving victories in the recent governorship elections in Imo and Kogi States.

Abubakar calls on the citizens of Kano State to ignore the “malicious statement” and expresses full support for Ganduje as their trusted leader.
