Niger Woman’s Abduction Sale Attempt

Attempted Kidnapping

A 51-year-old woman named Blessing Jeremiah was recently arrested by the Niger State Police Command for stealing a three-year-old girl in Niger State. She had planned to sell the child to a buyer who had already paid her N530,000.

The Arrest

The suspect took the child from her parents in the Tudun-Natsira area of Minna. She was caught while trying to board a luxurious bus to transport the child to Nnewi in Anambra State.

Reunion with Family

The abducted girl has been safely reunited with her parents, thanks to the efforts of the police. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Wasiu, confirmed this in a statement.

The Confession

During interrogation, Blessing Jeremiah confessed to taking the child from a compound in the Tudun-Natsira area of Minna. She revealed that she intended to deliver the child to a woman named Mrs. Ejima in Nnewi, Anambra State. Mrs. Ejima had paid her N530,000 to acquire a female child.

Investigation and Apprehension

The case is currently under investigation at SCID Minna, and the police are working hard to apprehend Mrs. Ejima. So far, N230,000 has been recovered from the suspect.
