Iran President, Putin Meeting

The Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, is heading to Russia on Thursday to have a chat with Vladimir Putin. This meeting is happening because both countries want to strengthen their economic and military ties, especially since they are facing sanctions from Western countries.

Russian-Iranian Negotiations

The Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed that there will be negotiations between Russia and Iran on December 7. This visit by President Raisi was reported by the media, and now it’s becoming a reality.

Previous Visits

It’s not the first time that these two leaders are meeting. Putin visited Iran in July of last year, and the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, went to Tehran in October to have discussions with other leaders from the region.

Accusations and Invitation

Some Western countries have accused Iran of supporting Russia’s actions in Ukraine by giving them a lot of drones and other weapons.
