Providing Jobs for Legionnaires’ Children

The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has made a promise to offer jobs to the children of veterans in the state civil service. He understands that people want to have a better personal economy and live in a peaceful environment. Governor Fubara wants to make sure that their hopes are not taken away, but rather fulfilled.

Renewed Hope Agenda

During the 2024 Armed Forces Emblem Appeal Fund Launching at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara emphasized the importance of hope. He believes that hope is what keeps people going and without it, life becomes difficult. He mentioned President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and how it serves as an inspiration for his own government.

Appreciation for War Veterans

Governor Fubara expressed his gratitude to the war veterans, both fallen and living, for their sacrifices in keeping Nigeria united. As the child of a soldier, he understands the importance of welfare donations and how they can benefit families. He launched the emblem with N30m on behalf of the state government and promised to fulfill previous financial grants.

Supporting Education and Widows

The governor assured the war veterans that the funds raised would be used to support their children’s education, provide scholarships, and take care of widows. While he acknowledged that this may not completely solve all their problems, he believes it is a step in the right direction and a way to show appreciation for their service.
