ENDSARS: Cross River State Governor Shocks Cross Riverians
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State will never cease to amaze Nigerians, as he is always heading in the right direction. While others are imposing curfew, he’s busy making and taking decisive decision in this trying time.
Instead of imposing curfew, The Cross River State Governor imposed the following:
- Indefinite suspension of payment of tuition by indigenes of the state in the state-owned Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH)
- Extension of service year for indigenes of the state who have completed their one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are still without jobs.
- He has also constituted a seven-man judicial panel of inquiry to look into complaints of victims of police brutality with a charge on the panel to do a thorough job.
- He gave a directive to each of the 18 local governments to employ 1000 workers each, while the state government will employ 2000 into its civil service.
This is a man that is ready to serve his people and the country at large. For this reason, Cross River State might be spared from this inferno of mayhem ravaging Nigeria at the moment.
