The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has denied any involvement in the tragic incident that occurred in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state. Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, stated that the news alleging the accidental killing of innocent civilians by NAF aircraft is false. He emphasized that the NAF had not conducted any air operations in Kaduna State within the last 24 hours.

Eyewitness Accounts Raise Concerns

Despite the NAF’s denial, eyewitnesses from Tudun Biri village shared their accounts of a horrifying incident during a religious celebration. According to a resident, a flying object, possibly a jet, dropped a bomb on the village, resulting in the death of more than 30 people. The eyewitness expressed shock and grief over the tragic incident.

Government to Address the Media

The government of Kaduna State has acknowledged the seriousness of the situation. The Overseeing Commissioner of the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, declared an upcoming security meeting to comprehensively evaluate the incident. He reassured the public that the meeting would furnish accurate information and promptly address concerns.
